Challenge
Create a distinct tone and campaign approach for Lifetime’s emerging Black Romance genre — one that felt warm, modern, emotionally resonant, and culturally specific without falling into generic romance language.

Approach
I helped shape the campaign voice around intimacy, aspiration, emotional stakes, and the joy of seeing Black love centered on screen. The copy needed to work across trailers, promos, paid social, digital, and lifecycle touchpoints while keeping each title’s hook clear.

Copy Direction
Romantic, elevated, emotionally direct, culturally aware.

Approach
Writing for talent means finding the line between brand message and natural voice. The copy has to serve the moment, sound like something a real person would say, and still move the audience toward the larger campaign idea.

Approach
Social copy has to feel native to the platform, not like a chopped-down campaign line. I write for scroll behavior, emotional immediacy, and shareability — with room for humor, tension, or softness depending on the audience.

Sample Social Copy
The text said “I miss you.” The timing said “run.”
Not every red flag shows up wearing red.
When the family group chat becomes evidence.
A soft launch? No. This love story came with a plot twist.
For everyone who said they were “done with love” and then absolutely were not.
